As I finish my first year as Executive Director, I find myself looking back over a difficult year, not only personally but for our community. As with many other organizations, we struggled with how to accomplish our mission while also keeping ourselves and our clients safe under Covid-19 conditions.
Our entire staff worked hard at pivoting to a new direction, building virtual infrastructure that would allow us to continue to offer our training, mentoring and incubation services from a distance.
I started the year focused on my experiences at Unlimited Future and involvement with the Fairfield Community and a deepened desire to uplift the voices of the voiceless. The realities of 2020 has only strengthened my resolve to ensure everyone has a seat at the table, no matter their economic status, race or educational background. I reaffirm my goal as Executive Director of Unlimited Future, to focus this year on developing the human resources of our community. Our programing has taken a fresh look at the client's pathway to success and building the skills to achieve their vision of success.
